Create the Usage and Health Service Application using PowerShell

The Usage and Health Data Collection Service Application might be “quiet”, but don’t be fooled, it is a very important for your SharePoint Farm.

Once created and configured, you can access reports and logs, to make sure your SharePoint environment is healthy, and setup for optimal performance.

The Usage and Health Data Collection service application cannot be created directly from Central Administration (Manage Service Applications > New), so again, PowerShell to the rescue!

#Create the Proxy
$proxy = Get-SPServiceApplicationProxy | Where-Object {$_.typename -eq "Usage and Health Data Collection Proxy"}

#Provision
$proxy.Provision()
